    With many surrounding beaches, hidden bays, rock pools and the ever changing tides of the estuary. We have loads of suggested ‘must-do’s’ of Whananaki to share with you.

    With six spacious bedrooms, everyone gets their own cozy retreat. Wrapped in luxurious linens, with blockout curtains and air conditioning, you’ll sleep soundly. No alarms, no rush, just pure relaxation.

    We love getting into the kitchen to create wonderful spreads for the masses. We have thoughtfully designed a kitchen with all you need for cooking up a storm and hopefully enjoying your catch of the day.

    For those planning a restful time- we have a full range of books, jigsaws and board games to keep you entertained. We also have a movie projector screen in the main lounge for movie nights.

    The retreat offers enough beds for 16 guests, with 2 master bedrooms, and 4 bedrooms with single and bunk bed set-ups. Perfect for family holidays.

    Enjoy gathering together around the multiple spaces for dining. Table seating 12, kitchen bar seating 6, and ample space and seating for outdoor meals.

    Set right on the estuary’s edge, Whananaki Beach Retreat is just a 20 meter walk to the calm and restful water. Or head to the nearby surf beaches, just a 5 minute drive.

    With our ‘toy shed’ we have a range of paddleboards and kayaks for guests to use and enjoy on the estuary right on your doorstep.

For over 12 years, Whananaki Beach Retreat has hosted groups seeking a luxurious coastal escape. Now, with our newly renovated interiors, we invite you to enjoy an unmatched luxury stay in Whananaki, Northland.

The house sleeps up to 16 guests and is set out perfectly for family holidays and group stays. Guests will enjoy the luxury and comfort of this private retreat with loads of activities on offer.

Whatever the time of year, we have a number of packages to choose from depending on your length of stay and group needs.

  • Whananaki Beach Retreat has been home to many happy family holidays, and we would love to share it with yours. Book for a 7 day minimum stay and enjoy a family discounted rate.

  • Sometimes you just need to get away from the city for a quick reset. The weekend retreat is a 2 night stay from Friday afternoon to Sunday morning. Leave the chores at home, and enjoy a weekend on the water in summer, or snuggled inside for a winter get away.

  • Make the most of those public holidays or create yourself a long weekend. This packages is a minimum of 3 nights, and receives a discounted rate for each additional night added.
